The National Eczema Association was founded in 1988 by individuals with atopic dermatitis/eczema, nurses, physicians and others concerned with the social, medical and economic consequences of the disease. NEA works to improve the health and quality of life of persons living with atopic dermatitis/eczema (those who have the disease as well as their loved ones). The association provides emotional support, research funding, information and raises public awareness of the disease.
This organization has completed the National Health Council’s Standards of Excellence Certification Program and meets the highest standards of accountability, ethical practice, organizational effectiveness, and good public stewardship.
