Better Health Care by Design
The National Health Council is pleased to announce a new e-publication -- Better Health Care by Design. This weekly SmartBrief was created by the NHC and Wyeth as part of an out-of-pocket cost-impact initiative.
The free service is designed to provide readers a timely snapshot of media reporting and analysis on the issues surrounding the impact of out-of-pocket costs on people with chronic diseases and disabilities and their caregivers, providers, and employers.
As the incidence of chronic conditions and the associated costs continue to rise, many patients are facing increasing out-of-pocket costs for their care. The Better Health Care by Design initiative is an effort focused on improving health and economic outcomes for patients with chronic diseases by bringing together a diverse range of interested stakeholders to collaborate on new, practical benefit-design models that lead to better prevention, management, and treatment.
This new e-publication will help NHC members stay abreast of the latest news on the economics of health care.
