CAMPAIGN TO PUT PATIENTS FIRST
Join the Campaign to Put Patients First
The Campaign to Put Patients First is a nationwide initiative dedicated to mobilizing people with long-term diseases and disabilities and their family caregivers to achieve effective and affordable health care – health care that meets their personal needs and goals.
Over the next three years, the National Health Council plans to recruit one million people with long-term diseases and disabilities to make their voices heard. The goals of the campaign are to:
- Cover Everyone
- Curb Costs Responsibly
- Abolish Exclusions of Pre-existing Conditions
- Eliminate Lifetime Caps
- Ensure Access to Long-term and End-of-life Care
These five health care principles for Putting Patients First ® will guide our efforts to improve health care in this country.
The Campaign to Put Patients First draws the support of a varied and energetic group of partners. Companies interested in health care, patient advocacy groups, and medical and health professional organizations are joining the Campaign to make sure that the collective voice of people with long-term diseases and disabilities is heard.
It’s time to put patients first. Won’t you join us?
