About the condition(s):

Many diseases can affect the liver, causing the liver not to work as well as it should. Some of the most common diseases include: viral hepatitis, where viruses attack the liver; cirrhosis, where large parts of the liver have been scarred or damaged; and liver cancer, where cells in the liver begin to reproduce faster forming growths called tumors.
