February 13-15, 2019
The Dalmar Hotel
299 N Federal Highway
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301

The 2019 Health Leadership Conference was an outstanding opportunity for key stakeholders in the health community to informally meet, to share information about emerging issues in health care and nonprofit management, and to learn from nationally recognized experts and each other.

The first event was the Chief Executive Officers Affinity Group (CEOs only) meeting on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. View the slides

The conference began on February 14 with a lively keynote from artist and author Mike Rayburn. View the slides from day one here.

Over the two days of the conference, The New Normal: Access, Affordability, and Sustainability, attendees heard about the latest trends from health care policy and organizational management experts, as well as peers from across the health ecosystem. Topics included:

  • Anticipated outcomes of the new Congress;
  • How collaboration can increase impact;
  • Navigating your mission despite stormy seas;
  • Building a strong organization;
  • And much, much more.

View day two slides here.

This year, we also offered concurrent breakout sessions for a more personalized experience. View slides from breakout session one and breakout session two.

Wrapping things up on February 15 was Robin Caruso, MSW, LCSW, Chief Togetherness Officer at CareMore Health. The conference program was put together by the HLC Planning Task Force, which was lead by Co-Chairs Dory Kranz, National Alopecia Areata Foundation, and Paul Pomerantz, American Society of Anesthesiologists.
