Robert Gebbia to Lead 2018 National Health Council Board of Directors

Washington, DC — Dec. 12, 2017 — At its annual membership meeting today, the National Health Council (NHC) elected its officers and new members of the Board of Directors for 2018. Robert T. Gebbia, Chief Executive Officer of the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention will be the Chairperson of the NHC Board of Directors for 2018. Other members of the 2018 Executive Committee will be: Chairperson-Elect Steve Taylor, Chief Executive Officer, Sjögren’s Syndrome Foundation; Vice Chairperson Ann Palmer, President & Chief Executive Officer, Arthritis Foundation; Secretary Chip Davis, President & Chief Executive Officer, Association for Accessible Medicines; Treasurer Cassandra McCullough, Chief Executive Officer, Association of Black Cardiologists; and Immediate Past Chairperson Cyndi Zagieboylo, President & Chief Executive Officer, National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

“Bob has the passion and vision that will be essential as we develop a new Strategic Plan in 2018,” said Marc Boutin, JD, Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Council. “His leadership in addition to the excellent slate of new and returning Board members will enable NHC to continue our work of putting patients first in policy and treatment development.”

New members joining the NHC Board of Directors are: Diana Gray, Chief Executive Officer, Hydrocephalus Association; Matt Eyles, Senior Executive Vice President & COO, America’s Health Insurance Plans; Henry Moehring, President & Chief Executive Officer, Alpha-1 Foundation; and Lisa Simpson, President & Chief Executive Officer, Academy Health.
