The Program Development & Education Manager is a key member of PAN Foundation’s Mission Delivery team and reports to the Chief Mission Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for leading enterprise-wide efforts to expand and identify new programmatic and educational opportunities for PAN. These opportunities will advance PAN’s mission and address unmet needs of patients. In this role, you will ensure alignment with PAN’s strategic goals, maintaining a primary focus on improving access to care and advancing health equity.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

Program development

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify unmet needs of patients. Teams include representatives from Mission Delivery, Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI) and Health Equity, Marketing and Communications, Development, and Operations.
  • Networks with external organizations to help identify unmet patient needs.
  • Conducts research and market analyses to validate unmet patient needs and determine PAN’s potential competitive advantage.
  • Based on unmet needs, identifies the potential expansion of existing and new programs that PAN could develop.
  • Establishes a scoring system to identify programmatic priorities.
  • Gains consensus from internal stakeholders and establishes a programmatic roadmap for PAN.
  • Develops an implementation strategy for priority programs; identifies the internal team tasked with program implementation.
  • Serves as project manager of the implementation Monitors implementation progress and resolves conflicts/issues that arise.
  • Supports collaborations with external stakeholders that may be necessary for implementation of programs.
  • Identifies Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate success of programs, effectiveness, and patient impact.
  • Supports content development for funding proposals.

Education

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify unmet educational needs of patients. Educational needs align with PAN’s overall support of patients, financial assistance, and advocacy. Teams include representatives from Mission Delivery, DEI and Health Equity, Marketing and Communications, Development, Operations.
  • Networks with external organizations to help identify unmet educational priorities.
  • Conducts research and market analyses to validate unmet educational needs and determine PAN’s potential competitive advantage.

  • Identifies KPIs and metrics to evaluate success of educational programs, effectiveness, and patient impact.
  • Supports content development for funding proposals.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience and demonstrated leadership in program development and education work within the health care system.
  • Nonprofit health care experience preferred.

Skills

  • A General knowledge of and passion for patient assistance and improving access to affordable treatment.
  • General knowledge of the complexities of the health care system
  • Demonstrates a high emotional intelligence, a keen understanding of the perspectives of stakeholder groups, and an appreciation for the nuances involved in managing relationships.

  • Excellent communicator; ability to clearly present PAN messaging and goals.
  • Strong professional written communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex policy topics into understandable content.
  • Demonstrates initiative and flexibility; the ability to manage and adjust priorities among multiple projects.
  • Ability to produce quality products, such as policy commentary, under demanding time constraints.
  • Possesses a collaborative spirit to work with colleagues and departments across PAN and with those external to PAN.
