Celebrating Dr. Eleanor Perfetto as She Retires from the NHC

By: The NHC Staff

Today, the National Health Council (NHC) celebrated Dr. Eleanor Perfetto as she goes into retirement. The NHC staff, our members, and people living with chronic disease have benefited from Eleanor’s tireless work on their behalf.

A few of her contributions to the NHC include:

  • Over her six and a half years at the NHC, Dr. Perfetto has had a large role in shaping multiple strategic plans and oversaw the strategic direction of the National Health Council, including serving as Interim CEO during the last part of 2020 and into early 2021.
  • Dr. Perfetto kicked-off a project in January 2020 to create a patient-centered core impact set blueprint. This blueprint will include a patient-prioritized list of affects a disease and/or its treatments have on a patient and/or their family and caregivers. Something that is much needed in the health ecosystem.
  • Dr. Perfetto has contributed substantially to the field of patient-focused drug development through many webinar trainings, speeches, meetings with the FDA and other government entities, comment letters, and other advocacy activities.

The NHC truly could not be where it is today without Dr. Eleanor Perfetto’s guidance and diligent advocacy for patients. We wish her well!
